Default Loss of power issue

I have an '84 that I purchased 2 weeks ago. The car had been sitting for 2 years with a half tank of gas I. It. I drove the car from Syracuse NY to Pa. I got about 25 miles into the trip home and the car struggled to get over 45mph. Has anyone ever had problems like this? I wasn't sure if it was the old gas in it so I topped it of with super and still had the same results all the way home. Any ideas for me guys?
Please help!!

I don't know about the ECM. You could check the fuel pressure to see if it's correct. Also check the fuel filter and if it's in the tank you'll probably have to pull the pump to check it. If it's not there, maybe it's a sock on the intake of the pump that got clogged by sediment from sitting over all those years.

Thank you so much and that is what we are going to try on Monday. I also have been in contact with a corvette mechanic from our former Chevy dealership in the area and he said to check the pressure also. Will post what we find.. Thanks again
