Posted a question on this a couple of weeks ago, but go no response (maybe no one has tried this item or maybe did not see post). Has anyone had any experience with a "throttle performance switch"? Mid America (and others) sell them and claim provides better throttle response. I really appreciate the expertise of our resident "techs"! Also, discussions have been ongoing concerning modifying the air filter housing. Wouldn't this cause an increased chance of more trash/dirt being ingested into the intake? Thanks for the info on both querys!

RE: Mods
Ive never heard of anyone using it. It sounds like nothing more than what a hypertech chip would do for the TPS. generally, i dont think these chips are worth anything, and they are considered worthless mods. They only work for a stock setup, and if you do any major mods, you will have to get a tune anyways, and this chip you bought is worthless.

RE: Mods
I posted the original thread with regards to the mod on the air filter housing about two weeks ago, with over 1,100 responses, almost all in favour. Really, if you seal the filter in place tightly with the lid on properly, I don't believe you will get any foreign matter past the filter itself; at least I haven't noticed any. Once a month I take off the "accordion" fitting leading from the MAF to the intake, and it is as clean as new. If you find any kind of matter ( dust, etc) in the accordion, then your filter is not seated properly. I take this monthly inspection seriously to ensure cleanliness in the engine with regards to air intake. Try it, you'll like it.

RE: Mods
Thanks guys. Just what I suspected on the throttle switch. I did find a link that states the switch is only effective with at least 60% throttle. As for the filter mod, sounds good. Already have the K&N filter, so think I will give the mod a try.
