Default Need opinions

Hi guys, I'm a real newbie, and I need help. I have an opportunity to swap my restored Ford Fairlane 500 "street rod" for a 1986 Vette. The Vette is in really good shape. It has 2000 miles on a new 350cu short block bored out to 406cu( Which they are claiming...I understand this is not possible? ), a new interior, body is in nice shape, only 2 owners, and has some extra goodies too. It does have the digital dash, which I've heard bad things about. What should I be on the look-out for? My Ford is worth anywhere between approx $5800 to maybe $7500 give or take. Here's a few pics of my Fairlane. Should I do it? Thanks.

truthfully i would not do it. The car is not original therefore the value is not that high. My Corvette is completely stock, everything and they go for more money that way. If you are looking to get a corvette look at the 93-95's if you can afford a price range of 9k-18k. If you do end up trading, check out everything, see if the oil pan is wet, check the tires for tred size, ask if they ran mobil 1 oil (important), ask what type of gas they used (recommend super aka 93 octane). There is alot of things to look at when buying a Corvette, not just they way it looks on the outside. Look at everything. Anyways that is my opinion and with what ever you decide just look at the car very good.

I agree with Kyle
Don't trade
Keep looking. look into which vette you want c3, c4, c5 after you check out which body style, horsepower your looking for sell your car see how much money you have and get what you want. Don't rush into anything. Like Kyle said you have to look more into the car than the exterior/interior.
I love my car I have a 1994 convertible black with black and saddle interior, saddle ragtop, auto(wish I would have gotten stick) but I beefed up the tranny put in a shift kit and higher stall conveter. Good luck
