I found a set of original 86 vette injectors. I heard these were better than the ones found in the later C4s. I found a set with 120,000 miles on them. I can get them rebuilt for about 125 and the injectors I am buying are only 60 dollars for 8. Yes they have o rings that are cracked and soemthing else but wouldnt the rebuilding fix all that? Good deal?

 

What is wrong with the ones you have now? Mine are new and are Motocraft injectors, the same identical ones that fit in the 5.8L Fords. They work great.

 

Nothing YET. I dont want to wait though. Im going to stick with the stock 22s. Dont want to overflow the gas since it wont do anything but waste money with basically no modifacations. I just wanted to know if it would be a good idea to sell my old ones and then have these I found rebuilt while I am still using my old ones then switch them out? If you have a better idea, PLEASE let me know. Thanks. Just trying to make my car reliable and the best it can possibly be!!!

 

You won't notice a nickel's worth of difference between the two. They both are 22 lb. injectors and I have had some not so good experiences with rebuilt injectors. I had one set that I put in my 86, turned out they were 19 lb injectors for a 5.0 TPI that were sold to me as 5.7 injectors.

 

Mech is right, I wouldn't get rebuilt ones either I would buy the Ford SVO's.
