RE: sys on dash
1.Buy (2) 1 kilo-ohm 1/2 watt resistors. [Radio Shack part # 271-023. They sell them as a 2pk for .29 cents.] (This may not be the right part number anymore because they sell them in a 4,5, or 6 piece pack now)
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the receiver.
4. Connect one end of both resistors to ignition power. (Yellow wire in the car)
5. Connect the other end of one resistor to the purple/white wire in the car.
6. Connect the other end of the second resistor to the grey/black wire in the car.
7. Cover all connections and completely cover the resistors.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Jordan, have you figured out the reason for the sys flashing yet? I am having the same problem. Thanks, BK.

RE: sys on dash
Thanks for the reply.....I have not done anything to the Vette. Everything is stock and theVette drives wonderful with 52,000 miles. The only thing that doesn't work is the under hood lights. I have checked the bulbs and also used a volt lightand it is not getting any power. I have checked the fuse and it is ok.The only other thing is the backlit for thepassengerpower seat sometimes does not come on when I cut the lights on. I tap it and it lights up. I have checked thebattery and nothing is corroded. The volts were reading 13.8 last time I could check before the SYSstarted flashing. If you can help, please, because it is just asannoying as everyone else in the forum states. Thanks, BK
