Thanks for the note. I was thinking of replacing the injectors, surprised that it didn't help.
I have completed a major tuneup including replacing the OPTI spark, Cooland temp sensor, New plugs and wires.

I have noticed that it happens less frequent and is less of a problem when my fuel tank is near full?
Have you noticed the same?

our mechanic replaced a module (computer?) - he says it helped but still not 100%. From day one he felt it was the injectors.
FELT? He FELT?

A mechanic's feelings are just grand, ain't they?

I would have asked him how he feels about a guarantee of his work. See below...

okay guys i have this very problem,i had another thread started titled"Fuel Pump Relay"not knowing that this one was already started.I had a bit of black smoke puff out at start and so i was told as well as thought it was leaky injectors, so therfore i replaced them. So i tried replacing a few things in order to fix this annoying starting problem, so far NEW injectors(all 8), MAF, Ignition Control Module, FPR, Coolant temp sensor, I am really close to running out of money, i cant afford to keep spending all this money and still not fixing the issue that is at hand. PLEASE HELP!!!
I can't remember if this was mentioned in the other thread or not, but have you checked the fuel pressure?

Around 35 lbs and more important, you should have a slight rise in pressure under a snap throttle.

Stab the throttle with your foot or where throttle lever on throttle body is.[8D]
