Put new battery in my 1987 corvette, tries to start, but gets cut off after intial firing. Fuses all OK. Replaced vats fuse. Followed alarm reset procedure found in manual. Cleaned ground wire to neg battery post lead.
Where do I go from here???

 

It's not VATS. VATS would disable the car ever before firing. If it will fire then you have a problem somewhere else.
