Default Weatherstripping

Hello, again guys.I'm wondering if anyone has had their weatherstripping replaced on their car.My '96 leaks so bad when it rains it's not funny. It's raining as I write this,so I went and covered up my seats with plastic(ugghhh!!).All I need for now is the two strips for the roof, front and rear, since they wrap around the whole car,but it's still aggravating.Anyone have it done? Is the kit from Mid-America or anybody else's any good,or would it be better to go to my dealer? It's pricier,I know, but I want to have this fixed.Any thoughts would be most welcome. Thanks to all,Joe.

It seems I should go with a factory original set......pricier as they are.I'll keep you posted on what happens. Here's the thing...it's pouring here right this second,LOL!!!! But no matter where I go,this needs to get fixed. Thanks for your input...your friend,Joe.

In my opinion the Mid America set would work fine. Mid America sells quality products, at least what I have bought has been good. Plus, I am sure GM doesn't even make their own weatherstripping.. Whatever they can contract out to save a buck, i'm sure they will.

Go on this website and price out what you need; lowest prices on the Net. I bought the whole convertible package four years ago; great quality.

Go with GM. They are soft and don't last as long but for fit you cannot go wrong. Go aftermarket and its a crap shoot on fit and finish.
