Hello guys. Received alot of good info for my C-4 problems and am still in work on it, but my daily driver is a 2000 convertible and the C-5 forum hasn't responded so I thought I'd postit here: When I turn on my headlights, the doors open but the normal and hi-beams do not work. The flash function works and both lamps, hi and low come on. Also if I turn twilight sentinel on both headlights come on as advertised. When I first encountered this problem if I hit the flash to pass brights the lights would start to work, not now. I was out looking at it earlier and telescoped the steering wheel out and the lights worked until I cycled them off and then to on. Thanks.

 

Perhaps as simple as a wire is broken in the colum. Seems like a good place to start since it effects their operation when you moved the wheel out. Also check the conections on the twilight sentinal switch. I had a similar problem in a '72 Eldorado and it turned out to be the conections in the switch rather than the wires to it. Good luck with it and try not to drive at night til you get her fixed..don't need them "leaving you in the dark", LOL.. Sorry I'm not much help. Cheers
