I have a 1995 C4 base model. I am currently running stock C5 spoke wheels with Rear 275/40/18 and Front 245/45/17 tires. They fit and perform fine with no mods. I just picked up a set of like new aftermarket ZR1 wheel copies off of a 1998 C5 convertible with Rear 305/35/18 and Front 275/40/17 Nitto street drag slicks. Anyone know or have any experience as to whether these wheel/tires will fit my C4 without modification?

 

Well, I will answer my own inquiry. Yes they will without any rubbing and/or bottoming out. Car seem to be a little taller (I did not take measurements before installing them). The tires stick out about an inch further than before, with the rear being the most noticeable. This thing corners like it's on rails.

My calculations show that the front is about 1/4 inch taller with this tire setup.

 

I think it's more (I wish I would have taken measurements prior to putting them on). The front looks higher sitting in the car and the back looks higher from the outside.

 

If the offset is different, that could affect ride height also. You might want to have the alignment checked.
