I have a 2002 Z06 with 27,000 miles that I bought in December of 2009. Ichangedthe oil by draining and raising the back. Used a K&N filter with 6.5 quarts of 5W30W Mobile 1 oil. The car used to run at 40 psi with a Fram filter at normal operating temp and speed. Now the car runs at 50 to 55 psi at normal operating temp and speed. The only other change was to add a magnetic drain plug. I can not see how that would change oil pressure. Any comments on your normal oil pressure or possible cause of this change?

While a new K&N filter may very well increase oil pressure, the amount of increase is the key. What is the pressure when your oil is hot (>160F) and at idle? I believe 50-55 psi at speed is not high enough to be alarmed.
