?? about my Wipers
I got caught in the rain on my way home the other day, and after turning on my wipers, I noticed that in the Intermitant(sp) cycle, the wipers stop right in the middle of my windshield. By the middle I mean: at a 45 degree angle. Also when I turn them off, the passenger side wiper remains about 4" above the stopper and the driver side stays up about 2". Does anyone know why it would do this, or know how to rectify the problem?
No clue huh?? I don't understand how every other setting works just fine except for the delay cycle. I tried it again today as I was washing the car and it still stops halfway down the windshield. The intermittant cycle works but it stays right in the center of my visual path for a few seconds, then goes up......back down, and on the way back up it stops right in the middle again. [>:]
Even though I don't plan on driving it in the rain, I'd still like to figure out why it's doing that. Just thought I give it one more try before I give up.

Well, I don't know why it is doing it but I have a simmilar problem with my '87. they work fine on the intermittant and low but when I turn them on high they just set at the bottom of the windscreen and move up and down like they are stuck. this happens for about 30 seconds and then they work normally for a while only to do it again. it gets dangerous when it's pouring and they stop. also when I turn them off they stay about 3 or 4 inches up for a while then randomely go down. I wonder if GM's wiper motors have this problem on other models.
