Check Engine Light on then off ???
Just bought 01 coupe 6 speed 34k on it. Check Engine light comes on then clears after 4 or 5 starts. Checked codes and says left bank lean, seems to miss up to 1200 RPM.
02 Sensor?
Which one?
Also seems to have alot of trannie noise. Is that normal?
First 6 speed and a little skeered!
Is it true I need to have all fluids done at dealer to be documented? Don't want to hurt resale.

It could be a bad O2 sensor (happens a lot), but it is clearly just intermitant since it clears itself. I would do the drill for the easy things: run some injector cleaner through it, change the fuel filter, etc., in case that is it, and if recurs have a shop look at it.
Has the car been modified (headers, custom exhaust, cold air intake, etc.) or the ECM re-programmed in any way -- this is a common code to get in those cases and may not mean much: the stock tolerance range if very narrow -- I had the same code intermitantly on mine and just had the tolerance range widened slightly (after checking everything very carefully) and it when away and I have had no problems.
As to gear noise, I don't know how to answer you except: try to drive or ride in another one and compare. Vettes are not as quiet as other cars but no, there is not a lot of gear whine. If in doubt have it checked out.
Good luck.

What code is it actually? P0??? Left bank lean could be several things, such as O2 bad, vacuum leak, etc. DOes it show Bank 1 Sensor 1, which is before the cat. Need to look at voltage readings through scan tool because it is what is called a heated Oxygen sensor and has probably 4 wires. Just replacing sensor might not fix your problem. If you do replace it, be sure and use an A/C delco sensor. Won't be real cheap, because the heated part, but Delco sensors are more active and gives you ECM (Computer) better fuel control. I would definitely let someone with a scan tool who is good in diagnostics check it for you. They would have the ability to look at whats called freeze frame data. This is a snapshot of all data inputs to computer at the time the code was set.
