Well today i picked up my first vette. It is a RED 1998 with an auto trans. I love this car!!!
I cant stop smiling when she chirps going into second.


Anyhow it seems that i have a problem with the drivers side headlamp. When i turn the lights
on all seems normal but when i turn them off it sounds like plastic grinding. It is almost like it
should have a limit switch that tells the motor when the light is all the way down but it
doesnt see it and just keeps running the motor. It sounds kinda like nylon gears stripping.

What do i need?

Your right about the plastic. It is a gear which runs your headlights up and down. It is stripped and needs to be replaced. Aftermarket ones are brass (and cost a few bucks). If one is out, the other will be out soon. I picked up a pair at Motorsport Image.com
