I am having some fuel gauge issues with my 2002 Z06. I have roughly a half a tank in the car and my gauge is reading empty, my check gauges light is on and my panel display is reading 0 miles range left etc.

Is the fuel sender probably bad or is there something else I can check?

Try pouring a large can of Techron in your tank (when you fill up). I've heard that this has solved many a fuel gauge issue.

Some of these cars had a recall-factory upgrade to fix chronic fuel guage problems. You could call the dealer and see if your car is one that should have this done to it.
