The HUD doesn't work on my 2000, Does anyone know what circuit it is fed power from?

 

i could be wrong, but since the hud projector unit actually plugs into a wiring harness that comes out of the back of the gauge cluster, i would think that all of the gauges and hud are run off of the same power source.

can you move the projection up or down on the windshield? about two years ago, in the heat of the summer, i suddenly could not see my hud projection on the windshield. finally, after a bit of research and posting online, i realized it was still working but the heat from sitting for a week in july had screwed up the mechanism that raises and lowers the projection, ultimately making the projection not be able to raise enough to be visible. if i looked down into the hud unit at various angles from the outside, i could see the green "0" or whatever it was trying to project. anyway, swapped out the hud projector and all was good. don't know if that is possibly your issue, but its just a thought.....

 

Mine failed a month ago. At first it was just a little low and could not be adjusted up all the way. As time went on it dropped all the way down and when I try to move it the display moves to the side and is erratic. From what I have read there are pivots for the mirror that break or ther are gears that break. Since I never readjusted mine once set 7 years ago I will assume that my pivots have broken. Some folks have reported that they were able to repair the broken pivots. I'm going to give it a shot if I can get the nerve to the dash panel out.
