Lowering a C5
I recently purchased a lowering kit from Mid America for my 2000 C5. This is the kit that has new bolts and bushings for the rear end.
The instructions for the front end are to simply tighten down the end bolt on the front suspension until the bolt bottoms out.
Has anybody done this and do you have any suggestions / recommendations for me? I am no mechanic but really want to do this myself.
Thanks!

if you have a Z51 suspension you cant really lower it by just tightening the bolts you have to remove the spindle and cut a rib off the bushing, if you dont have the Z51 suspension it really is that simple all you need is a 10mm wrench and turn the bolt clockwise which will unscrew the bolt they are left hand threads also if you jack up the car and use another jack to take the pressure off of the leaf spring that the bolt goes through it will make it easier. You can only lower it about 3/4 on an inch by unscrewing the bolt, if you want more then you will have to take the spindle off and cut a rib off of the bushing to get it lower. this link helps
