Default Problem with brake lights

I have an 02 convertible and recently the passenger side brake lights stopped working. The turn signal and parking lights work but the hazards don't. I pulled both out, did a 180 degree turn on it, then replaced the bulbs with the same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Man
My first thought would be the brake light switch, but from what I understand this switch controls both sides. Strange the brake lights don't work but yet the turn signals do. Maybe you can get to the wiring, and test it with a volt meter, if your not getting voltage there, than you know it's in the wiring.
Hopefully someone here a little more knowledgeable will reply.

Thanks gorichb for the help. I don't understand it; I never even knew they didn't work until I got pulled over and let go with a verbal warning. The parking lights work, the turn signals work, the parking lights on with the turn signals work but the brake and hazzard lights wont work on the passenger side. Would you know if maybe a bad flasher or something?

The brake light circuits run through your multifunction switch, or turn signal switch. There are 2 seperate circuits for LR and RR. My money is on the turn signal switch. Get ready, they ain't cheap. [:-]

Thanks all for your help but unfortunately I wasn't skilled enough to trace the problem down so I took it to a pro. Turns out it was the multi switch and about $400 total.
