I just recently purchased a used 2015 A8 corvette. As I was driving it the check engine light started to flash on and off. I started to hear a ticking sound from under the hood and it sounded louder as I went up on speed. I eventually pulled over but there wasn’t any check engine light or code showing. Any thoughts ? This is what it sounds like in the video below any feedback is appreciated.

 

I have no idea what that sound is but it sounds serious to me. I would get it towed to your nearest preferred shop before something even more serious goes wrong!

First you need to get the code. Most auto parts stores will scan for free. The sound is like a stuck lifter.

Does it have Active Fuel Management (AFM)?

Also you can get a mechanics stethoscope and see if you can isolate the location of the noise.
