Default Such an Embarassing Question:

Ok many years ago when I was a novice, I would 1/4 mie track my 01 camaro SS. Has nitrous, and some other goodies. I would run a drag radial ( back then nitto was all the rage). I would take traction control off, stomp on the brake and put the car in drive and stab the gas. Car would never go over 2000 rpm and I would look like a crack head trying to do a burnout. Car had over 500 rwtq so she EASILY could brake them tires. But forever I couldnt get a good burnout. And then one day it hit me, I changed something stupid and bam all was right in the world.

Fast forward to today. 2017 Z06 modified automatic with et street R's on back. Take traction control off, go to light em up to get them all sticky for a run, and the car pushes forward past the brakes and wont go over 2000 rpm's. Brakes couldnt hold (which is crazy as I have ceramic brakes but whatever) but point of story is I couldnt get it past 2000 Rpm's again. And I CANT REMEMBER what stupid rookie fix I did to alleviate this.

So embarrassing. But I rather ask here then do that in public again.

Sorry for such a stupid question. UGH.

The only I can think of is a possible rev limiter that holds the engine at 2000 RPM to prevent some type of drivetrain damage.
