I've read a lot about them but haven't personally experienced a professionally applied one. I did buy one of the ceramic coating sprays and tried it on the hood of my Explorer and think I would have been better off using the time to just put a coat of wax on it. Probably just do the ceramic as it is not nearly as expensive. I've seen online though where some people do both.

I've been trying to decide on ceramic coating versus a complete wrap when I get my C8.

Default This worked for me.

I attempted to order from a top ten dealership here in Ohio. The wait was up to a year for an allocation because of the loooong list. Or I could of course pay 10k and they could get me my allocation in February of 22. So I did some looking around and spent some time on the phone and got on a few list at smaller dealerships. In less than 3 weeks, yes 3 weeks, I got the call from a small local dealership that I had an allocation! I was expecting to get a C8 at some point in 2022 but instead I already have an order # and am at status 3000. I got on the list on 10-26-2021 and less than a month I have an accepted order at the plant. I feel like I got very lucky but a few hours on the phone and a few rolls of the dice paid off. It is an MSRP dealership and no deposit to be on the list. I suggest trying to get on as many list as you can and ya never know.
