Default bad speakers

I have a 1995 vette coupe that has 2 bad front speakers. This is a Delco non bose system. The speakers are delco also. The problem is the factory Delco speakers are 10 ohms. All I seem to be able to find in the after market are 4ohm and under. If Iuse the lesser 4ohm speaker on my stock system will it cause harm?

I don't know anything about the stock system but generally speaking, yes you can use the 4 ohm speakers. Having said that, let me warn you that in some instances the power amp may overheat due to the additional power output with the lower impedance load (the speakers). This overheating may result in component failure.

I haven't shopped for speakers in a long time but it seems like you should be able to find some 8 ohm speakers.
