I guess if it were me I'd just bite the bullit take it to the Chevy or a shop that speacializes in Vettes, And just get it fixed. If there's a short in the wiring. Get it fixed. A Vette is no place to scimp. Or better yet, take it to guy that fixed the tranny to begin with, and tell him he didn't complete the job. The light is still on! I do all my own work on mine. But sometimes if it's more than I can do I'll just pay the price. Because I can't put a price On the joy driving my Vette gives me. Just my opinion. Good luck.
