Default Electrical Problem

I have a 2004 Z06 commerative edition. When driving the car with the AC on a hot day or if it is raining after 15-20 min, the power windows no longer work. Also, the power locks do not work. After stopping and using the keypod to set the alarm, the locks do not lock and the horn continues to honk. Once the the items stop working it takes a few hours and then it is fine again. Then randomly, it will start again, usually under the same conditions, after driving for at least 15- 20 min or if it is raining. I have taken the car to the Chevrolet dealer on 3 different occasions, each time the problem was occurring. Then by the time they get around to looking at the car, they say they can't duplicate the problem. Then, on the way home, the problem occurs again. The car only has 6200 miles on it. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or know what is wrong?

I can't believe your dealer cannot fix this, I would definetly suspect the Body Control Module (BCM).It is a small computer that controls many of the functions you described. Cost for the unit is about $300 and needs to be programmed to match your car and keyset.

Check into this and let us know what you find out.

You know, I was thinking about this, and it could be a bad ground. Might need to get a wiring diagram and start checking ground connections.
