Default Header Clearance Problem

I am installing a set of Chrome Hooker Headers with side pipes on 1 69 Coupe. I have a couple of small clearance problems. What can I use to "Dent" the tubes in a couple of places that won't hurt the header or the finish. I need about 1/32 to 1/8 inch in a couple of places

You can "dent" them with a "C" clamp or a hammer, I would call Hooker's tech line before I do that. What engine and trany do you have? PG

Default RE: Header Clearance Problem

I was hoping not to have to beat on em too much because I am afraid of damaging the cosmetics. This is a total body off restoration. The car originally was a 350 300 HP. It still has the original T-400 Transmission. I have added PS,PB and AC. Am in Georgia and not fun to drive when it gets HOT. I added a Holley after market kit for the engine. Aluminum heads,Intake,Different Cam and 650 Holley. Should have a little more Zoop to it than stock. I will call Hooker and see what they recommend.
