Default I'm 'ghetto' now...

I didn't see another way to prevent 'the flapping panel'.

The middle was startin' to bow in - I guess heat and stress does that, and after that, the back is soon off of the top ridge. The '87 had that problem when I picked it up.

So, hello drill, and hello painkillers. Ain't drillin' on yer' vette fun???

And here's what we got now:

Not being familiar with the C4 I couldn't see you'd done anything till I read the text. I think ghetto would have been duct tape.

Thanks much. There's worse in life than decking screws in yer' vette tho'. (I think) Maybe that's why GM built that slotted tab underneath the panels???

For CF member who PM'ed me on this 'fix', I couldn't attach a pic to the reply, so it's here. I looked at this car more than once when shoppin' for my second...

The '88 35th anniv. is my favorite, besides '96 Grand Sport, and 90 ZR1.

Here's the link on the 88; the link is still workin' for me...

Scroll to about pic 15...
