Default Lifting pads

I have a new 2006 C-6. Has anyone installed lifting pads for jacking up the car or using a lift? The owner's manual indicates the proper locations for lifting, which are across at least two webs on the frame near the suspension components. THe lifting pads or pucks, which are shown in various catalogs, seem to indicate that they are to be used/installed at the holes in the side rails. Has anyone installed/used pads or pucks for lifting? If so, where did you install them?
Thank's.

Default RE: Lifting pads

You don't "install" them in the sense of leaving them on. They have a tab that fits into hole and some of them will twist 90 deg to lock in. When done you remove them. I have four of them and keep them in the trunk: some types of lifts in garages lift at the frame and the pucks avoid any indentations or scratches.
