what does it mean other than secondary air induction. how doy u fix

 

Secondary air induction refers to your air injection system into the exhaust stream for emission control. More than likely your air pump or relay for the pump is bad or a check valve also. Difficult to diagnose here with out scan tool. [8D]

 

I have had this happen both on my truck, and my Vette. It's most likely the check valve. What year is your Vette?
When it first happened with my truck I took the check valve off, and cleaned it, that worked for about 3 months than it set the code again.
Just change the check valve, it's fairly simple to do.
It can be your air pump. Listen to see if you hear the air pump come on at start up, or have someone start the car while you are touching the air pump, you should feel it come on for a little while, and shut down.
