Don't have a vette yet?!?!?!
Hey, my name is Kenny. I actually do not have a vette yet. I am probably about 3-4 months away. I joined the forum to gain a little pre-purchase insight and knowledge. My current car is a 2006 Infiniti G35 6MT, not a bad car, but a little slow. I got the case of vette fever after driving a friends 2005 GTO, now-------
Ireally need 400 horsepower.
I am scared to drive a Z06, for fear that I will need 500+ horses. (The wife won't go for the 30,000 difference, go figure)
I am considering a metallic blue convertible with a six speed, however a six speed corvette is hard to find in New Orleans for some reason. Has anyone had a similar experience with this?

So you really need 400 horsepower, huh? Well, you at least see now that you'd soon need 500... then 550, then 575, and on, and on... There's never enough. Unless you're disciplined.
I told that to my sister once.A couple ofyears ago, I let her drive my '87 L98 (a nice one, but low-powered). The next year, she bought the 400 horse GTO. I told her it soon would not be enough. It actually was, for two years. She now wants a GTP. I don't even know the package; she says it a 425 powered vehicle, or something like that. "Oh yeah, you did say something like that, didn't you...". Yes I did.
There's always SOMEONE who's got more. Then YOU want more.

Welcome. You can never have too much power, but remember than however much you ever have, there is always a faster car out there somewhere.
