Hi names Geoff , had corvette 1978 silver anniversary model well sorted and sold it after 8 years 😢 Now at 65 and 18 in the head avid bike rider still have the passion for vettes it’s like herpes you never get shut 😂 bought a 1978 pace car L82 6700 miles on it but it’s getting used not a garage queen , removed emission. EGR/EFE. Air pump and injectors ,cruise, ac. Pump as r32 not used here . (Saved everything so it can be put back if required) fixed vacuum leaks and tick over now sweet, set up mechanical advance and she’s running ok , front shocks were a little soft on settling so fitted bilstein B6 and it’s improved it 100% ordered rears B6 as they are a better quality shock, going to replace indicator stalk as movement on spline having the straight one, exhauste rear Siamese pipe and rear boxes are getting ready to be replaced not sure if to keep the cat and original style or have stainless dual system thought about 2” bore as I’m not chasing bhp and don’t want to be scavinging the fuel going in with have too much of a free flowing exhaust any views would be appreciated, the main problem I have encountered is after about 500 miles of use the speedo started ticking and the needle jumping corresponding to the tick , the odometer stopped recording so something in the dam speedo as had a wobbler , when removing the cruise control speedo cable and turning it as it has the speedo at the other end it had a tight spot then free then tight so it’s somthing in the speedo that gone wrong , any advice thanks , Geoff barnsley England 👍
