New member with a question.
Hi all,my name is Gary and I am from Latrobe Pa.Been a Corvette fan for many years, with my first being a 70 when I was 20,and my last one was a 96 with many interesting ones in between.I currently have a numbers matching body off restored 70 Ss396,an SL500,and in the hunt for a 70 Nova SS.But I digress. My question is does anyone here drive their new gen car year round and in the SNOW? I get a company vehicle, but my allowance if I choose not to would cover the lease on a new Grandsport. It will be a daily driver in all types of weather and conditions.Sorry for the long post.I look toward to your opinions.
Welcome to the forum.
I used to drive my 73 daily and being in the Kansas City area, went through lots of snow. The only side effects were some frame rust and rusty body mount bolts. If they had had bottom wash non-contact car washes back then, I probably wouldn't have had the rust problems.
The best tires I had for negotiating snow were BFG 60 series. I would think that the newer models would do about as well considering they have stability control and traction control. All I have is Posi-Trac.
