The search is about to begin
When the weather breaks I will be starting my search for my first Corvette. I am thinking of a C-4 vert between '86 and '89 and was wondering if any of these models are preferable between these years. Any ideas on what to avoid or what to look for would be very helpful. I will probably bein the $10,000 and $15,000 price range with no real preference as far as options and color. Pretty much the mileage and condition will be the biggest factor.

You are on the right track, color really doesn't mean squat. It don't make it run any better.
From what I get from other members, the latter years are better due to some of the bugs bein' worked out at the production plant.
Just like any car, check out the basics. If ya can get 'er up on a rack, now you can get into some of the "Vette" stuff. Suspension and drive train are my first inspection points.Exhaust system and any rust that has developed into frame cancer is a must inspection.
