Default New door access---Vettes would be nice!

Someone sent me this site in an email. Check it out for a nifty way to get in and get out of a car. Would be a neat option for Vettes too.

SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD BE PRETTY CLOSE TO SCRAPING THE GROUND WHEN IT RETRACTED UNDER THE CAR. WOULD MAKE IT QUITE A BIT EASIER TO GET IN AND OUT OF ESPECIALLY NOW THAT I'M A LITTLE OLDER AND THE BODY DOESN'T CONTORT LIKE IT USE TO.

Did those people open the doors for themselves? Seems like just a new way to be lazy. Still pretty cool though.

I've seen them and they are interesting.
- Not sure if they would be available or fittable to a 'vette (you can do anything with enough money), but they add abit of weight and require ground clearance that 'vette's don't have.
- The one's I saw require that they first open the window before the door slides down (I assume this is done automatically, with something like the circuits that pop the glass down about 1/4 inch from the seal on C6s, Porsches, my Aston, and a bunch of other cars, before one opens the doors, it was automatic on the ones I saw but adds to the time required to open the door) and then the window goes back up once the door is closed.
- In winter, in the car parks over any amount of snow at all, even 2-3 inches in the parking place, they slide the door downi underneath the car into the snow and slush under the car, and when they come back up scoop just a bit of wet cold yuck up depostied on the top of interior side the door
