Beautiful car. I have alkways thought that particular model was one of the best, and certainly the most under-appreciated, of what GM built over the years.

Evo's are great cars and should be respected for what they are.

I once saw a race b/w a C5 Vette 6 spd and an Evo 9 MR in wet conditions and needless to say the Evo smoked the Vette b/c the Vette lost traction completely and almost hit the center median.

 

this thread is old as **** but I'm going to post in it anyways.

both the EVO and Z06/vette are great cars, I have one of each in my garage. Either one can be modded to beat the other,and both are very capable in all forms of motorsport whether your talking about autox, road racing or drag racing.

 

They really are both great cars. I never owned an Evo or an STi but had a 4WD Audi S4 a few years ago that did mid 13 quarter miles. It was a fun car (but in its case, too heavy).
