1979 C3 engine swap to 199X LT1

RE: 1979 C3 engine swap to 1995 LT1
YIPPEEE,
I finally got the motor sitting correctly. I had some time to really check things today. The answer, I'm just too stupid to own a Corvette.
I found that the passenger side motor mount was opposite from the drivers side. After further review and research on the internet I found someon running into the same problem on a camaro. It seems that since the camaro/firebird engines have to have the A/C compressor removed for it to fit that it can confuse the issue because of the bolt patterns. When I originially bolted the old mount on I put it onto the same bolt holes that the 95 mount was in. Turns out after you remove the compressor you have to actually use the compressor bracket hole for the correct mounting of the original motor mount.
I lifted the motor, remounted the passenger side motor mount using the compressor bracket hole, lowered the motor and that was that. Transmission lines up and the motor was much easier to bolt in.
I'm so happy that the frame is not bent that I don't even care that people will be laughing at me.
Yipee
Thanks for everyone's help. I'm sure I'll have more "obvious" problems later.

Sorry I have been away. I didn't run inot any mount issues with mine. I use the orginal style 74 motor mounts that bolted to the block, then onto the original mounting spot. did not use the other things that they sent.
says my pics are too big, and I can't figure out how to shrink em down to post em. really annoying. any help would be appreciated

k, here is a link to an album I made on photobucket (did that for eureka springs, why didn't I think of that). Anyway, like I said, there is no pics that show a how to, but just some of engine process. Hope you enjoy!
