1980-1982 - Stingray?

Thats too bad about the revamp. It's a shame when people think they are really helping and end up destroying.
What is sniping? I have only heard that in Ebay terms when someone outbids you at the last second.
Well if it makes you feel any better, I just bought a 1980 so, fire away with the any and all knowledge. I am all ears.

Too many "primidonnas" ( know it alls ) on that site that look down at newbies to the Vette world.
I am far from knowing it all, but I might be able to give you some tips on suspension and drive train. I completly redid my suspension and drive train and am very pleased with the results. Flat and fast as hell! Like it's painted on the road! Jus' love the twisties!
I chose my '80 C3 due to no 'puter system. I really enjoy doing my own tuneups the "old school" way. I tune by ear with a scewdriver, hex wrench, and a distributor wrench. Just gotta know what you're listening for. I set the points, timing, and carb with the engine running. Try that with a C4 or later. LOL ( 'puters suck, IMHO )
There ain't much you can't do under the hood of a C3 with 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 9/16" and 5/8" wrenches. A slotted and philips screwdrivers are a must too.
I once repaired a carb on the side of the road using a pocket full of change. ; )
( a dime between two quarters makes a great screwdriver...LOL )
.. and yes, 73shark, we are left on our own.
Mods rule....LOL
Boy, did this thread make a turn. LOL
