Brake Troubles?
I just got done doing some work on a 1976, to get it roadworthy for travel fro storage...after a LONG sit..if anyone has any questions about the braking system i can possibly lend some advice..
Deak, I've run into the same problem 2 times. Both times it ended up being the seals on the calipers. These were "new" rebuilt calipers with less that 2 years on the car. Look on the insides of your tires for that shiny brake fluid sheen. Pull the caliper off and look at where the pad meets the piston. Is there brake fluid there? I thought it was funny that the original calipers on the car all lasted almost 20 years, but 2 of the replacements lasted less than 2 seasons. Luckily they were lifetime warrantee.
