What is the power rating / wattage for both front and rear original speakers in a 1980 corvette ?
I have the original am/fm stereo w/ 8 track right now.
Bought a Kenwood in-dash system rated at 200 watts. 50 watts per channel.
Not sure what kind of front / rear speaker wattage I should purchase.

 

If they are the OEM speakers, they have probably deteriorated to the point that they're useless.

Probably could save time by just replacing them with new, modern speakers that can handle that power level.

Crutchfield is a good place to check with speaker questions also. Their Tech staff is very good.
