Question no fuel pressure

Hi, I have a 69' 427. I recently put a 4150 holley ultra street avenger. Car ran great for 6 months, but now I have lost all fuel pressure. Fuel runs fine to the new mechanical pump I've installed. I put a inline filter after the pump and before the gauge. The filter is clear and the gauge works fine, it used to read 6psi now 0. I have no leaks. This is very confusing. Can anyone offer suggestions as to how I have no fuel pressure through clear lines, even after I installed a new Carter pump? Thx

Are you sure your have fuel after the gauge? Is you gauge reading zero?
My guess is our gauge is no good and is not letting the fuel pass.
The gauges that come with the fuel lines are not the best quality.
If you are getting fuel past the gauge you might have a blockage in the fuel line to the carb.
Some of the Holleys have filters where the fuel line enters the carb, could be plugged?
Last thing, even though you can see fuel in the filters doesn't mean it is passing through.
I have had bad filters right out of the box.

Good luck,

Schoon

Thx for the reply. Its not the gauge, fuel can still pass through the tee regardless. I've even pressure tested it and it works great. I've taken the two brass filters out of the carb, so the braided fuel lines can fit properly. That's the confusing part. Fuel does enter the carb, but no pressure meaning no passing power. Thx

I just remembered years ago I removed the filters from my Holley and hooked the flex right up to the carb with out them.
That is when I started having a problem similar to yours.
I put the filters back in and the problem went away.

Good luck!

Kev: Welcome to the Corvette Forums.

Is this the second fuel pump w/ no pressure? Are you using hoses on the pressure side (between the pump and the carb)?
