i have a salvage vette near completion.had to have the ignition made and interogate the vats
and had key made. now i can start the car but only for a few seconds till the hot start wears off.
my question is
#1 when u turn your key to on position do u hear the fuel pump take off.
#2 with key in on position ur fuel pump should pressurize fuel rails.
my car has no pressure in fuel when i push test port shrader i get no squirt of gas i might get a dribble.
i replaced the fuel pump relay also. b 4 tearing out gas tank i was wondering if theres a trick i,m missin. any help would be appreciated thx.

 

found problem removed fuel pump assy bench tested it would run intermittenty and never actually pump, bought a new carter pump this should fix my prob. i,m glad i didn,t have to drop the tank whew.
