RE: rear of car torques to the right when I gas it...
Texas Jim, I was just trying to get some conversation going. There aren't too many posts here on stock. That's probably because if you stay stock there's not a lot of options to discuss.

mrggrm,
I did understand your intension. I do know that I was "off-topic" both in the "my car torques..." question and also the general catagory of automotive troubleshooting. I was only giving my opinion on "stock or not stock" You have my sincere appologyfor whatever way I "missed the mark" so to speak. I guess I jumped the gun. I do think that the "stock or not stock" topic would be a great one and possibly a motivator for some of us to make changes that we may not even have considered otherwise. Infact, I have a specific question to post myself. Again, "my bad."
*Thanks, C3.

Texas Jim, I understand how you feel. I'm not trying to knock anyone. Hey, I'm from Texas too. I started a new topic. Let's see how that goes. As far as being off-topic, each thread evolves, changes a little as it goes along. But they all start at one place and may end at another. I think the important thing is that we learn from each other. I've looked at other forums but this one seems to be the best. See, I'm off-topic. Throw me outta here!

mrggrm, I know, from your posts under this topic and others, that you don't knock anyone. I just wanted to make very sure that I didn't, in anyway, say or do anything that ANYONE may take the wrong way.
I do agree with you about this being a good forum. I'm a member of afew other sites. And even though those sites have some members who are "super specialists" in different areasie: engines, paint, etc., some are very disagreeable and rude. This forum has people who are knowledgable yet agreeable and friendly and who care about other members and their 'Vette. A very good point that you made; it's important that we learn from each other. Just can't beat that. Thanks for the reply. I'll now check out the "stock or not stock" topic. Thanks again.

RE: rear of car torques to the right when I gas it...
C3,
Like I said in one of the prior posts, I'm going to pull the complete rear housing, axles and suspension as soon as we get moved back to Texas. Got the reporting date just yesterday (Sept. 22). This way I can take my time and completely rebuild everything. So, I'll trailer the car to our new (old) home (our same house we had prior to moving to Puerto Rico in 2002), unpack and get started.
I am going with better than stock components as I want to get it ready for a stronger engine sometime in the not too distant future.
I got great "specific" input fromyou guys here which was just what I was looking for. And I want to let you guys know that I appreciate this input to the max.
Thanks for asking about my situation, and when I get the project under way, I'll post my progress on through the rebuild. This way someone could use it to know before hand the ins and outs of the process.
Thanks again.
