1995 manual shift console trim plate
Hey guys and gals, i was dismantling the console on the 95 and realized the mounting points of the trim plate are all brittled and cracked.
i looked up but it doesn't seem to be available for those years yet again the ones for the previous batch up to 92 look exactly the same.
Before i risk it, anyone can tell if there's a difference between the 2 or not? I have it all apart and figured this is a good time to get to it.
Thanks

Unless you are planning on competing in the NCRS world, I would go with the trim plate that looks the same or almost the same. You might talk to some of the major aftermarket Corvette suppliers to see if they have any solutions.
Thanks 73shark, i ended up fixing the tabs with carbon fiber and repainting the console.
the rubbercoating was a bit of a bitch to come off but acetone and elbow grease did the trick.
Thanks

Great. I found another product called Goof Off is good for removing things like that. You might want to test it on something it wouldn't hurt if it mars the surface before you use it though because it's pretty aggressive, especially on plastic.
Yes, i tried goof off and believe it or not was not aggressive enough for that rubber dip, acetone on the other hand worked even better than laquer thinner, just don't let it sit too long or bites the plastic hard and develops surface spider cracks but not a bid deal if you top coat it.
cheers!
