Default 89 Performance chip

Hey guys, I got a 89 vette and am looking to get a comp chip. A little about my vette: COMPLETELY STOCK! Only things done: new injectors and K&N air filter. Other than that, nothing but I am looking to get a chip and need some idea/suggestions for what brand or style of chip would be best. Thanks guys! Love the forum!

Well. Not what you want to hear cuz it aint wat i want to hear either. But you need to wait until you have done several major or minor mods to get a chip done. DONT I REPEAT DONT, waste your money on that hypertech or any other "generic" chip. www.pcmforless.com is your best bet. They are good and work with you until you are satisfied. You can do it thru mail or in person.....Which ever is best. I know theres one here in N.C. and theres another one in pensilvania I believe or somewhere along those lines....Again, I suggest you wait until your mods are complete.

There are alot of cheap/free mods you can do but I wouldnt think they would require a new chip/tune though.

Nothings wrong with them from a mechanical point of view. I just dont like them because, they dont do a whole lot. The hypertech chips from midamerica are overpriced for what little they do. Yea, they make your fans come on sooner, make your car run cooler and some aftermarket programers change your shift points. Yea for what 200 dollars?....I mean they arent going to hurt your car but I wouldnt spend that money on it. Save it up for a set of headers or something. Improve your exaust would be a good idea.
