92 Corvette LT1 cold start and dies
Hi everyone, new to the forums and recently acquired my first C4 corvette. Quick background in the vehicle, it’s a 92, Canadian car, 98,000kms or 61000 miles, automatic transmission.
Ive had the vehicle for about a week now and I’ve noticed that during cold start, the engine turns over and runs for a few seconds and then dies. I’ve found that I’m able to rev the engine slightly for a min or two and then the engine runs fine. Once warm, no issues starting the vehicle afterwards.
Being a Canadian car, it has spent the past winter in storage. My immediate thought were the fuel injectors were likely clogged up so I put 91 octane with no ethanol in the tank. I also added fuel injector cleaner to the tank. Several days later, same issue.
I’m going to check the fuel pump and fuel pump relay today! I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues with their lt1 corvette? Any thought/opinions would be great.
thanks!

I've found that there are two relays on this vehicle that controls the fuel pump. When you turn on the key the first one, by your feet on the drivers side, closes and runs for two seconds then opens, this primes the fuel rail. The when you start the motor the second relay will close when the oil pressure reaches 4 psi, it's located under the hood in front of the passenger side. So you will have to make sure that you are getting oil pressure and that the relays are working. Next thing to check is the water in the fuel tank and in the gas.
