Brake caliper came out
I have had extensive brake work done recently. Yesterday my right front calipers came out or the mounting bracket. My son and I were able to get them back in without removing the bracket. To me that seems like an impossibility unless the new calipers are not the correct ones, or the bracket is damaged. This 88 C4 has only 54K miles, so that doesn't seem likely either. I did have a hard pull to the right during hard brake that has since seem to have virtually gone away. I could buy a recon bracket, if that makes sense. I will contact Mavis Brakes to have them check the pers are the correct ones. Not sure what to do to correct. We ran a wire round them to hold them in place to get the car home. Any Thoughts or recommendations?
While I am not familiar with the C4 caliper mounting method, I've never seen calipers that weren't securely fastened one way or the other.
Have you compared the right front system to the left front system to see if they might have left something out?

Turns out that the half round notch that holds the caliper retaining pin was more oval than round and the pin came out. Car only has 50K miles, so I'm surprised to see that wear. Now I've head strange sound from the drivers side. Going on a small rest run later.
