Turns out that the "loose hub assembly" turned out to be just a rotor that needed to be turned. I got the front rotors turned for $40.00 and viola! No more shaking or knocking or tap-tap-tapping! Sweet!

[&:]Now I notice, though, that the breaks are a little mushy. I am now wondering ifthe break booster diaphram is leaking. It seems to get worse as the car warms up. I was also wondering ifthat could have something to do with the loss of power. Is this possible?

 

If you didn't change your brake pads when you had the rotors turned, they probably haven't seated yet.

 

Ok, Mech. I will give then some time to seat. I changed the pads about a month ago. Thanks for the info.
