Default CONVERTIBLE TOP

A FRIEND OF MINE HAS A 1994 CONVERTIBLE, AND HE'S NEVER HAD A CLOTH TOP BEFORE. WE'RE WONDERING IF HE NEEDS TO "TREAT" THE TOP, OR DO ANYTHING TO IT. IT DOESN'T LEAK, BUT LOOKS LIKE IT SOAKS UP THE RAIN....ANY THOUGHTS?

I have always used Raggtopp Productsmyself, with much luck. These roofs are expensive and a little maintenance can go a long ways in keeping them in good condition for years.
