Hi you all

I have a 87 with the optional cooling fan at the bottow front of the radiator. Does anyone know when that puppy is suppose to come on, by coolant temperature or when the air conditioner is on or both? The manual is not very specfic.

Also Is it normal for the car to run hotter when the outside temperature is hotter?
