Default Engine cooling fan

I know there have been many posts regarding the higher temps that these LT1s tend to run at. I recently had my radiator/engine flushed and any debris removed to help cool it down. Though it runs a little cooler, my mechanic suggestedwiring the fan to stay on while the car is running no matter what temp. Not sure if this is a wise move or not. I would be too concerned that the fan would burn out a lot sooner than if it turned on at 228 degrees (normal operation). On the postive side it would run much cooler when idling, which is when it really heats up. What do you think?

A.-get another mechanic.
B.Make sure everything is as good as it can be--clean rad, good belts etc.
C.Buy the remote switch from ecklers or midamerica and take charge of your fan!!
