Default Fuel problems

What would cause a 90 corvette to suddenly lose power and shut down. It felt like it hadrun out of gas. The guage read half tank. When I tried to restart,it started, then acted like there was no gas and quit. I got a 2 gal gas can and addedfueland itstarted right-up.I made it home without any furtherproblems. Alsowhen I tried to fill the tank, it took only 9.5 gals.Which meant there was plenty ofgasin the tank when the problem occurred.?????

Default RE: Fuel problems

First guess is fuel delivery or fuel pressure. Have you checked pressure?

Default RE: Fuel problems

I have driven it off and on for about a week since then and all ok. I was advisedtrying some sort of fuel additive because of possiblemoisture orlossof octane with the fuel. This thing sits and is only driven basically around the block once in awhile and on occasionsI take it out on the road.Would this be a possibility,if after the test, pressurereads ok?
Thank you for the help.
